Yes, Piloric is helpful in the kidney stone. It is used in the prevention of kidney stones (recurrent calcium oxalate stones) which is caused by the formation of the calcium oxalate crystals. Piloric promotes precipitation of these calcium oxalate crystals which reduces the formation of kidney stones
Piloric contains allopurinol that belongs to the class of drugs known as xanthine oxidase inhibitors. It works by inhibiting the xanthine oxidase enzyme (Responsible for uric acid production in our body) that lead to disruption in the biosynthesis of uric acid due to which its abnormally high levels are decreased in the body. The decreased levels of uric acid prevent the formation of uric acid crystals and calcium oxalate crystals. Hence, in this way, it prevents from gout.
