Yes, Pedigel is used topically for producing an anesthetic effect (Prevent pain) on the irritated or inflamed mucous membranes of mouth and pharynx. It is also used for minimizing gagging during X-ray procedure and dental impressions.

Yes, Pedigel may cause an allergic reaction which might manifest as sneezing, wheezing, pruritis (severe itching of the skin), urticaria (localized swollen itchy area), episodes of angioneurotic edema (swelling of the lower layer of skin or mucous membranes and even anaphylactic shock (very severe allergic reaction). If you develop any of these symptoms while using Pedigel, please inform your doctor immediately.
