Ospar is a broad-spectrum antibiotic, active against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. It works by inhibiting enzymes such as topoisomerase II (DNA gyrase) and topoisomerase IV which are essential for the bacterial cell to repair, DNA replication, transcription, and recombination. Thus it kills the bacteria. It is effective against a large number of bacteria, even those bacteria which are resistant to other drugs.
Ospar can increase the risk of tendonitis and tendon rupture in some patient. However, the exact mechanism of tendon rupture is not known. If you suffer from any kind of muscular pain after consuming this drug, please consult your doctor immediately.
