Nipp is an analgesic (painkiller) which relieves pain arising from the affected area by suppressing the cyclooxygenase 2 (increases the inflammatory response.)
Nipp is a brand name of nimesulide. It is a prescription drug that belongs to the class of medication called NSAIDs (Nonsteroidal Antiinflammatory Drugs). It has been used primarily for short-lasting painful inflammatory conditions like sports injuries, sinusitis, and other ear-nose-throat disorders, dental surgery, bursitis (Inflammation of the fluid-filled sac in the joints), lower backache, dysmenorrhoea (painful menstruation), post-operative pain, osteoarthritis and for fever.
Ideally Nipp is not prescribed by a doctor for a toothache. However, in the absence of painkillers such as ibuprofen, acetaminophen, naproxen etc, nimesulide can be taken to get instant relief from tooth pain.
