Methylcobalamin is abundantly found in eggs, milk, curd, meat (chicken and fish). However, if your levels are very low you are recommended to take medicines as per doctors instructions.
Mecobal works by forming myelin sheath which is used to cover and protect the nerve cells. Mecobal is used to revive the nerve cells. In the absence of enough Mecobal, myeline sheath doesn't form properly leading to nerve damage.
The Mecobal is susceptible to breaking down in the presence of light and it also gets affected by the moisture. Therefore, it should be consumed as soon as the package is opened and must be protected from the light and moisture.
