Locoid is a prescription drug, available for use as Lotion. Primarily, it is used for the treatment of Ulcerative Colitis. Secondary and off-label uses of Locoid have also been mentioned below.

Medical history of the patient along with age and gender determines the dosage of Locoid. The condition it has been prescribed for, and the route of administration also determine the right dosage. Detailed information has been provided in the dosage section.

Locoid also has some side effects, the most common being Skin Rash, Facial swelling, Muscle cramps or spasms (painful). While these are the most often observed Locoid side effects, there are can be others also. These have been listed below. Such side effects of Locoid normally do not last long and go away once the treatment is completed. Please speak with your doctor if these side effects worsen or persist for a longer duration.

Locoid's effect during pregnancy is Moderate and Unknown while nursing. It is important to know if Locoid has any effect on the kidney, liver and heart. Information on such adverse effects, if any, has been given in the Locoid related warnings section.
