Istamet is a commercial drug that is prescribed in the form of Tablet. Primarily, it is used for the treatment of Diabetes. Secondary and off-label uses of Istamet have also been mentioned below.

No, you should not take alcohol with Istamet, because it can cause serious side effects which includes hypoglycemia (low blood sugar).
