Ganfort is a prescription medicine that is available as a Drops. Ganfort also has some secondary and off-label uses. These are listed below.

The optimal dosage of Ganfort is largely dependent on the individual's body weight, medical history, gender and age. Individual symptoms and route of administration also determines the right dosage. Detailed information has been provided in the dosage section.

Ganfort also has some side effects, the most common being Eye itching, Eye irritation, Eye Burning. Besides the aforementioned side effects, there are other adverse effects of Ganfort as well, which are listed below. These side effects of Ganfort are usually temporary and subside with the completion of treatment. Please speak with your doctor if these side effects worsen or persist for a longer duration.

It is also important to note that Ganfort has a Moderate effect for pregnant women and Moderate effect on lactating mothers. In addition, Ganfort's effects on the liver, heart and kidney are discussed below in the Ganfort related warnings section.

Ganfort can cause adverse effects in certain medical conditions. It is strongly recommended to avoid Ganfort in conditions like Heart Failure, Diabetes, COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease). The section on Ganfort contraindications lists all such conditions.
