Flutec is a commercial drug that is prescribed in the form of Tablet. It is primarily used for the treatment of Fungal Infections, Candidal Infection, Urinary Tract Infection. Flutec also has some secondary and off-label uses. These are listed below.

Interaction between Alcohol and Flutec
Due to lack of research, there is no information about the side effects of taking Flutec with alcohol.
Occasionally, Flutec causes constipation when it is taken orally, while the interavenous administration of the medication does not cause constipation or other stomach related issues.
Flutec can be taken orally or it can be also intravenously administered.
Discontinuation of Flutec on your own can cause unwanted side effects such as a headache, dizziness, stomach upset, and diarrhea. You are recommended to always consult a doctor before discontinuing this medicine.
Rarely, Flutec can cause stomach upset especially when it is intravenously administered (route injectible). On the contrary, oral administration of Flutec has been reported to cause stomach upset such as indigestion, stomach pain, diarrhea, and nausea. Keep your doctor informed in case you are experiencing stomach disturbances while taking this drug.
No, Usually Flutec does not cause nephrotoxicity. But as per FDA reports patients above 65 years have exhibited acute renal failure hence elderly patients should take Flutec only when prescribed. However, the exact mechanism of renal failure associated with this drug is not yet known.
