Fludon is a commercial drug that is prescribed in the form of Tablet. Primarily, it is used for the treatment of Fungal Infections, Candidal Infection, Urinary Tract Infection. Fludon also has some secondary and off-label uses. These are listed below.

Rarely, Fludon can cause stomach upset especially when it is intravenously administered (route injectible). On the contrary, oral administration of Fludon has been reported to cause stomach upset such as indigestion, stomach pain, diarrhea, and nausea. Fludon inhibit the fungal cytochrome P450 enzyme lanosterol 14- demethylase and thus block ergosterol synthesis leading to membrane abnormalities in the fungus. It kills the fungus by destroying its cell membrane.
