Interaction between Alcohol and Flucole 50 Tablet
Due to lack of research, there is no information about the side effects of taking Flucole 50 Tablet with alcohol.
Rarely, Flucole can cause stomach upset especially when it is intravenously administered (route injectible). On the contrary, oral administration of Flucole has been reported to cause stomach upset such as indigestion, stomach pain, diarrhea, and nausea. Keep your doctor informed in case you are experiencing stomach disturbances while taking this drug.
Flucole inhibit the fungal cytochrome P450 enzyme lanosterol 14- demethylase and thus block ergosterol synthesis leading to membrane abnormalities in the fungus. It kills the fungus by destroying its cell membrane.
No, Usually Flucole does not cause nephrotoxicity. But as per FDA reports patients above 65 years have exhibited acute renal failure hence elderly patients should take Flucole only when prescribed. However, the exact mechanism of renal failure associated with this drug is not yet known.
Rarely, Flucole can cause irregular periods. However, if you're experiencing conditions such as leucorrhoea (whitish or yellowish vaginal discharge), menorrhagia (abnormally heavy bleeding at menstruation) and dysmenorrhea (Painful periods) after taking this medication. Inform your doctor and see a gynaecologist.
Occasionally, Flucole causes constipation when it is taken orally, while the interavenous administration of the medication does not cause constipation or other stomach related issues.
