Copanat may cause moderate side effects during pregnancy. If you feel its harmful effects, then stop taking this drug immediately, and do not take Copanat again without your doctor's advice.

If you are breastfeeding, you may experience some harmful effects of Copanat. In case you experience any of these, discontinue its use until you consult your doctor.

Interaction between Food and Copanat
There isn't any research available on the side effects of taking Copanat with food.
Interaction between Alcohol and Copanat
Due to lack of research, nothing can be said about side effects of consuming alcohol while taking Copanat.
You should take the minimum effective dose of Copanat that reduces body pain and fever. It should be used for the shortest time period till you get relief. Take it as per doctor's advice do not exceed dosage. Ideally, 1 or 2 tablets (500 mg) every four to six hours can be safely taken, do not take more than four doses in 24 hours. Please note paracetamol 500 mg tablet should not be given to children below 10 years until and unless prescribed by a child specialist.
As we know Copanat is most widely used 'over-the-counter' analgesic/antipyretic medicine. However, paracetamol overdose can cause serious adverse effects on the liver, it may be fatal. But fortunately, there is an antidote, N-acetylcysteine (NAC) given within 8 hours of Copanat ingestion which usually can prevent all serious side effects of Copanat poisoning. However, do not take NAC without consulting a doctor as your doctor will tell you the right way and methods to help you relieve from this drug poisoning.
An overdose occurs when more than the required amount (toxic levels) of [medicine] is taken. Initial symptoms of Copanat overdose includes loss of appetite, drowsiness, seizures, abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting. Later progressive symptoms may include pain in your upper stomach, dark colored urine, yellowing of your skin or the white patches in your eyes, liver damage and in rare cases, it can also lead to coma. So, by any chance, if you have accidentally taken more than the required dose of Copanat inform your doctor immediately.
If you are allergic to Copanat then do not take it. Inform your doctor immediately for alternative medicine.
Yes, Copanat can be taken safely with a less sedative antihistaminic drug like cetirizine and loratadine etc. No harmful effects are reported. However, another group of antihistamine drug which causes drowsiness and sleepiness like chlorpheniramine, diphenhydramine etc. should not be taken together unless and until recommended by your doctor.
