Clonzy is a brand name of Clonazepam. It is a prescription drug that belongs to the class of drugs known as benzodiazepine (Hypnotics & Sedatives). It is used mainly for the treatment of seizures, epilepsy, and panic disorder. It is also used for the treatment of burning mouth syndrome and tardive dyskinesia.
No, Clonzy does not cause weight gain. However, if you gain weight after taking Clonzy, discuss it with your doctor.
Clonzy works by relaxing the muscles of the body and suppressing abnormal activity of nerve cells in the brain through an increase in activity of a chemical messenger known as GABA. Thus, providing relief from sleeplessness and anxiety to the patient.
