Interaction between Alcohol and Canditop
You may consume alcohol while taking Canditop. But caution is still important.
This is because a long-term use of Canditop can cause Vitamin B12 deficiency. Stomach acids help in the absorption of Vitamin B 12, and this drug suppresses stomach acid which is required for the absorption of vitamin B12. Hence patients taking [medicine] for a long time have Vitamin B12 deficiency. To replenish Vitamin B12 in your body your doctor prescribes this vitamin along with this medicine.
No, Use of Canditop does not cause any weight gain in the patient. However, if you notice any unusual weight gain then consult it with your doctor.
Take Canditop as advised by your doctor. Do not discontinue the drug suddenly or take it longer than prescribed by your doctor.
Yes, Canditop can be taken with an antibiotic. Taking Canditop with a certain antibiotic can treat H.Pylori associated stomach infection. However, it is best to consult your doctor before taking these two medicines together.
Canditop comes as a tablet and solution and it should be taken by mouth once daily or as advised by your doctor. Precautions must be taken in patients with hypertension (BP), ulcerative colitis, osteoporosis, glaucoma, diabetes, and peptic ulcer. Your doctor may tell you to follow low-salt, potassium-rich, or high-protein diet if you are taking Canditop.
