Calaptin, a prescription drug, is manufactured in various forms such as Tablet. It is primarily used for the treatment of High BP, Angina. Calaptin also has some secondary and off-label uses. These are listed below.

The correct dosage of Calaptin depends on the patient's age, gender, and medical history. Besides the medical condition it is advised for, the route of administration also plays an important role in determining the correct drug dosage. Some other side effects of Calaptin have been listed ahead. Such side effects of Calaptin normally do not last long and go away once the treatment is completed. If, however, they worsen or do not go away, please speak with your physician.

It is also important to note that Calaptin has a Severe effect for pregnant women and Mild effect on lactating mothers. Calaptin is not recommended if you suffer from certain medical conditions as it can have adverse effects. Bradycardia (Slow Heart Rate), Heart Failure, Aortic Stenosis are examples of such conditions. Other contraindications of Calaptin have been discussed in the sections ahead.
