Its effects may be bacteriostatic or bactericidal depending on the drug concentration.
No, Btc is not good for a cold. The common cold is a viral disease, whereas Btc is effective for treating bacterial infections only.
No harmful interactions are found between Btc and alcohol, it does not reduce the effectiveness of the drug. However, alcohol can cause liver damage and dehydration in some people which may increase the severity of side effects, if taken together. So, it is better to avoid taking alcohol with Btc.
