Bromogen Information

Bromogen is a prescription medicine that is available as a Tablet. It is primarily used for the treatment of Female Infertility, Diabetes Type 2, Prolactinoma. Secondary and off-label uses of Bromogen have also been mentioned below.

No, Bromogen does not cause breast pain. It has not been reported by the patients who are taking this drug. In fact, clinical studies have found Bromogen to be helpful in preventing the breast pain which occurs when the breast tissues are overfilled with milk and other fluids (this is known as breast engorgement) due to hyperprolactinemia.

Yes, Bromogen stops breast milk. It is used in the treatment of galactorrhea (nipple discharge) which is caused by hyperprolactinemia. Bromogen stops the breast milk by lowering the levels of prolactin through preventing the synthesis and release of prolactin from prolactin-secreting cells in the pituitary gland.
