However, few side effects are observed at therapeutic doses such as fluid retention (swelling in your hands or ankles), increased appetite, increased sweating, and stomach upset. Yes, long-term use of Benicort N can raise blood pressure because Benicort N can increase sodium levels in your body as well as fluid retention can lead to increased blood pressure. If your blood pressure is uncontrolled after taking this medicine then inform your doctor immediately and follow his/her instructions.
Yes, Benicort N can cause stomach upset. It is a common side effect of this drug but the exact reason of stomach cramp is not known. Please inform your doctor if you are experiencing stomach upset after taking this medicine.
This is because a long-term use of Benicort N can cause Vitamin B12 deficiency. Stomach acids help in the absorption of Vitamin B 12, and this drug suppresses stomach acid which is required for the absorption of vitamin B12. Hence patients taking Benicort N for a long time have Vitamin B12 deficiency. To replenish Vitamin B12 in your body your doctor prescribes this vitamin along with this medicine.
