Yes, Alzin is safe to use, if taken in prescribed quantity for the prescribed duration. However, there are few side effects which have been observed at a therapeutic dose level such as drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, depression, hallucination, shortness of breath, seizure, confusion, memory loss, unusual changes in behavior, and problems with coordination or balance.
Alzin can be taken anytime as instructed by the doctor. But since this drug induces sleep in some patients hence, it is best to take it post evening. Irrespective of drowsiness and sleep inducing factors of this drug, you are highly recommended to take it during the day if you are suffering from anxiety and unexpected panic attacks.
Alzin can be taken with or without food. Preferably taken 2 - 4 times in a day. Extended-release tablet should be taken once daily. The dose should be gradually increased from low to high.
