Alamin is a prescription drug, available for use as Liquid,Powder,Capsule,Injection,Granules. It is primarily used for the treatment of Megaloblastic Anemia, Diabetic Neuropathy, Peripheral Neuropathy. Secondary and off-label uses of Alamin have also been mentioned below.

The Alamin is susceptible to breaking down in the presence of light and it also gets affected by the moisture. Therefore, it should be consumed as soon as the package is opened and must be protected from the light and moisture.
Alamin is an active form of vitamin B12. It is available in the form of oral, parenteral, and sublingual (under the tongue) formulations. It is used to treat B12 deficiency, Alzheimer's disease, diabetic neuropathy (nerve damage due to diabetes), visual function, rheumatoid arthritis, Bell's Palsy (facial paralysis or temporary weakness of the facial muscles), sleep-wake rhythm (irregular sleeping pattern) disorder and neuropathic pain.
The general recommended an oral dose of the Alamin is 1500 µg daily, divided into three doses. It is also available in other forms such as injectibles. Patients with critically low levels of methylcobalamin are often recommended by to take intramuscular injections to cover up for their deficiency.
Methylcobalamin is abundantly found in eggs, milk, curd, meat (chicken and fish). However, if your levels are very low you are recommended to take medicines as per doctors instructions.
