Yes, Bactiderm is a steroid. It contains clobetasol which is a potent corticosteroid. It should not be confused with anabolic-androgenic steroids which are used by some bodybuilders without prescription to build muscle mass.

Can Bactiderm be used for ringworm?

No, Bactiderm alone should not be used for ringworm because it is a fungal infection of the skin caused by fungi such as Trichophyton rubrum and Epidermophyton floccosum and Bactiderm is not an antifungal agent and it is not effective against fungi. Hence Bactiderm should not be used for the treatment of ringworm. For the treatment of ringworm, you can use a combination of Bactiderm and antifungal drugs such as miconazole and fluconazole.
