Oral Clindsure can be taken with or without food because food does not have any effect on the absorption of this drug. The topical gel of Clindsure should be applied as a thin layer once daily on the affected area or as advised by your doctor. Clindsure is a broad-spectrum antibiotic. It works by preventing the protein synthesis in bacteria which are essential for it. The absence of these vital proteins results in stunned bacterial cell growth due to which bacteria become vulnerable and dies. Clindsure is effective against a wide range of both gram negative and gram positive bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Streptococcus pyogenes, Prevotella melaninogenica, and lostridium perfringens.
