Interaction between Alcohol and Kzidime Injection
No research has been done on this till date. Therefore, it is not known what the effect of taking Kzidime Injection with alcohol will be.
Avoid taking Kzidime with azithromycin, because it can cause heart-related problems. However, if you are experiencing any discomfort after consuming these two medicines at the same time then do not hesitate to inform your doctor.
Discontinuing Kzidime in between may promote resistance to bacteria which may result in a relapse of the infection. You are recommended to complete the 7 - 14 days course even after getting symptomatic relief. Rarely Kzidime can cause neurotoxicity. It is a reversible side effect of this drug, the symptoms caused due to drug-induced neurotoxicity often disappear after this drug is stopped.
