Yes, E Doxim can cause diarrhea by disturbing bacterial flora of gut. It is a common side effect of this drug. However, if you are experiencing severe diarrhea after consuming this medicine inform the doctor immediately and check if you can discontinue the medicine. Try keeping yourself hydrated, drink plenty of fluids and take ample rest.
Yes, E Doxim is used to treat typhoid fever. It is a second-line treatment for typhoid fever. If other antibiotics are resistant to salmonella typhi then it is very effective to treat typhoid fever. However, it is best to consult your doctor about the right treatment for typhoid fever.
Yes, E Doxim can be taken for a cough, if it is associated with infection caused by bacteria. However, if a cough gets severe and does not subside after taking this drug. Do consult a doctor for the right treatment.
Avoid taking E Doxim with azithromycin, because it can cause heart-related problems. However, if you are experiencing any discomfort after consuming these two medicines at the same time then do not hesitate to inform your doctor.
E Doxim should be ideally taken with food(a light meal). Take this medicine in the required quantity and duration as prescribed by your doctor. Discontinuing the medicine in between may promote bacterial resistance which results in a relapse of the infection.
