Aclind is a broad-spectrum antibiotic. It works by preventing the protein synthesis in bacteria which are essential for it. The absence of these vital proteins results in stunned bacterial cell growth due to which bacteria become vulnerable and dies. Aclind is effective against a wide range of both gram negative and gram positive bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Streptococcus pyogenes, Prevotella melaninogenica, and lostridium perfringens.
Yes, Aclind covers anaerobes. It is effective against some of the anaerobic bacteria such as Prevotella melaninogenica, Fusobacterium necrophorum, Fusobacterium nucleatum, Peptostreptococcus anaerobius, and Clostridium perfringens.
Yes, oral Aclind can be taken with diphenhydramine. No drug-drug interaction has been reported between them.
