Interaction between Alcohol and Zoylex Rd
Taking [medicine] and alcohol at the same time may lead to mild side effects. Contact your doctor right away if you observe any side effects.
No, Zoylex Rd does not prevent the transmission of herpes simplex virus type-2 (HSV-2) in patients who are immunocompromised (weak immune system). Clinical studies have shown that it is not effective in preventing the transmission of herpes. Hence, you are recommended to use barrier methods such as a condom during intercourse to prevent the transmission of herpes.
No, Zoylex Rd should not be discontinued without doctors advice to ensure complete eradication of the infection. You are recommended to always consult a doctor before discontinuing this medicine.
No, Zoylex Rd does not affect blood sugar levels. It has not been reported to lower the blood sugar levels (hypoglycemia). So, if you have diabetes keep a check on your blood sugar levels and in case if you feel lightheadedness, shaking or increased heartbeat after taking this drug then drink a glass of fruit juice, eat candies to restore your blood sugar levels and report to your doctor.
Zoylex Rd should be taken by mouth 1 - 2 times in a day or as advised by your doctor. It can be taken with or without food but it is preferred to take with a meal to avoid stomach upset. The topical cream should be applied gently on the affected area 5 - 6 times in a day or as advised by your doctor. After applying Zoylex Rd, gently rub the cream till fully absorbed, then wash your hands. Precautions must be taken in patients with neurological abnormalities, and improper liver or kidney function.
Rarely, Zoylex Rd causes a headache. It is an uncommon side effect of this medicine. If you experience a severe headache after taking this drug, take a mild painkiller, apply balms and take rest, even if the pain does not subside then discuss it with your doctor.
