Rarely, Zoster causes a headache. It is an uncommon side effect of this medicine. If you experience a severe headache after taking this drug, take a mild painkiller, apply balms and take rest, even if the pain does not subside then discuss it with your doctor.
No, Zoster does not cause weight loss. Weight loss has rarely been associated with this drug. However, if you are experiencing unusual weight loss and you are in doubt that Zoster is causing weight loss then discuss with your doctor instantly.
Yes, Zoster might cause hair loss (alopecia) but it occurs very rarely. This problem goes away after discontinuation of this drug. For partial hair loss, you are advised to use hair tonic and discuss with the doctor for best possible treatment to hair loss.
Zoster should be taken by mouth 1 - 2 times in a day or as advised by your doctor. It can be taken with or without food but it is preferred to take with a meal to avoid stomach upset. The topical cream should be applied gently on the affected area 5 - 6 times in a day or as advised by your doctor. After applying Zoster, gently rub the cream till fully absorbed, then wash your hands. Precautions must be taken in patients with neurological abnormalities, and improper liver or kidney function.
