Yes Zerocef is used to treat typhoid fever. It is second-line treatment for typhoid fever. If other antibiotics are resistant to salmonella typhi then this drug is found to be very effective to give symptomatic relief during typhoid.
Zerocef works by inhibiting the growth of bacterial cell wall which is essential for the growth of bacteria. Hence, in this way, it prevents us from bacterial infection.
