Interaction between Food and Torpod
Taking Torpod with food does not cause any problems.
Interaction between Alcohol and Torpod
No research has been done on this till date. Therefore, it is not known what the effect of taking Torpod with alcohol will be.
Discontinuing Torpod in between may promote resistance to bacteria which may result in a relapse of the infection. You are recommended to complete the 7 - 14 days course even after getting symptomatic relief. Incase you feel any discomfort such as breathing difficulties and skin reactions while taking this medicine please inform your doctor immediately.
Avoid taking Torpod with azithromycin, because it can cause heart-related problems. However, if you are experiencing any discomfort after consuming these two medicines at the same time then do not hesitate to inform your doctor.
Torpod should be ideally taken with food(a light meal). Take this medicine in the required quantity and duration as prescribed by your doctor. Discontinuing the medicine in between may promote bacterial resistance which results in a relapse of the infection. You are recommended to complete the 7 - 14 days course even after getting symptomatic relief. Rarely Torpod can cause neurotoxicity. It is a reversible side effect of this drug, the symptoms caused due to drug-induced neurotoxicity often disappear after this drug is stopped. However, if you experience convulsions, agitation, weakness and severe nausea do not hesitate to inform your doctor without any further delay.
