Interaction between Alcohol and Sustameto
Consuming Sustameto with alcohol can have many serious effects on your body.
Sustameto is mainly used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Treating high blood pressure helps in reducing the complications of heart attacks, strokes, and kidney damages. It is also used to treat chest pain (angina).
Sustameto works by inhibiting the functioning of certain natural chemicals in the body like epinephrine, which in turn leads to the widening of the blood vessels. This abolishes heart rate, blood pressure, and strain on the heart.
Rarely Sustameto causes hair loss. However, if you experience hair loss after taking this medicine then inform to doctor right away and follow his/her instructions.
The use of Sustameto is not safe for people who are having or have a history of heart diseases, blood circulation problems, slow heartbeats, or are allergic to beta blockers. They are advised to inform their doctors and take it only when prescribed.
Avoid drinking alcohol with Sustameto, it may increase the risk of side effects like dizziness. It is best to stop drinking alcohol while you are taking Sustameto.
