Raviflam is a brand name for aceclofenac. It is a prescription drug that belongs to the class of medications called NSAIDs (Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug). It is mainly used to relieve pain in a patient's suffering from rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis. Additionally, it also reduces fever.
Raviflam works by blocking the action of prostaglandins which is responsible for inflammations (swellings) in our body. This helps to relieve temporary painful inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis.
Rarely Raviflam causes drowsiness. However, if you experience drowsiness after taking this medicine do not indulge in activities which include driving, operating heavy machinery. You are advised to take rest and if need be ask your doctor for some other drug options.
No, Raviflam is not used for treating stomach pain. The stomach pain could be due to some underlying medical condition which may require medical attention. If the pain does not subside within 1 day. Please consult your doctor without any further delay.
Raviflam preferably taken with a light meal. It can be taken once or twice a day or more as your doctor has prescribed it.
