Rarex Information

Rarex is a commercial drug that is prescribed in the form of Tablet. It is primarily used for the treatment of Malaria. Secondary and off-label uses of Rarex have also been mentioned below.

Medical history of the patient along with age and gender determines the dosage of Rarex. Dosage also depends on the route of administration and your chief complaint for which the drug is prescribed. Detailed information has been provided in the dosage section.

    Rarex rarely shows harmful effects in in pregnant ladies. Even if it does, the effects are mild

Does Rarex prevent malaria?

Yes, Rarex is used to prevent and treat malaria caused by parasites Plasmodium species which are Plasmodium falciparum, Plasmodium malariae, Plasmodium ovale, and Plasmodium vivax. It is presumed that Rarex works by increasing pH in the acid vesicles of parasite which interferes in the parasite's ability to break down and digest hemoglobin. Malarial parasites need hemoglobin for growth and survival. This results in starvation and death of parasites.
