No, Propysalic NF alone should not be used for ringworm because it is a fungal infection of the skin caused by fungi such as Trichophyton rubrum and Epidermophyton floccosum and Propysalic NF is not an antifungal agent and it is not effective against fungi. Hence Propysalic NF should not be used for the treatment of ringworm. Propysalic NF contains clobetasol which is presumed to work by promoting the induction of inhibitory proteins (lipocortins) in the body. Lipocortins prevents the release of arachidonic acid which causes synthesis and release of certain chemicals such as histamine, leukotrienes, and prostaglandins that causes inflammation.
