Interaction between Food and Pregalin Forte
Taking Pregalin Forte with food does not cause any problems.
Interaction between Alcohol and Pregalin Forte
Consuming Pregalin Forte with alcohol can have many serious effects on your body.
Methylcobalamin is abundantly found in eggs, milk, curd, meat (chicken and fish). However, if your levels are very low you are recommended to take medicines as per doctors instructions.
The general recommended an oral dose of the Pregalin Forte is 1500 µg daily, divided into three doses. It is also available in other forms such as injectibles. Patients with critically low levels of methylcobalamin are often recommended by to take intramuscular injections to cover up for their deficiency.
The Pregalin Forte is susceptible to breaking down in the presence of light and it also gets affected by the moisture. Therefore, it should be consumed as soon as the package is opened and must be protected from the light and moisture.
Pregalin Forte is an active form of vitamin B12. It is available in the form of oral, parenteral, and sublingual (under the tongue) formulations. It is used to treat B12 deficiency, Alzheimer's disease, diabetic neuropathy (nerve damage due to diabetes), visual function, rheumatoid arthritis, Bell's Palsy (facial paralysis or temporary weakness of the facial muscles), sleep-wake rhythm (irregular sleeping pattern) disorder and neuropathic pain.
Pregalin Forte works by forming myelin sheath which is used to cover and protect the nerve cells. Pregalin Forte is used to revive the nerve cells. In the absence of enough Pregalin Forte, myeline sheath doesn't form properly leading to nerve damage.
