What is Practin?

Practin is a brand name for Cyproheptadine. It is a prescription drug that belongs to the class of medications called antihistamine (H1 receptor blocker). It also acts as a serotonin antagonist with anticholinergic and sedative effects. It is used in the treatment of allergic rhinitis, urticaria, runny nose, sneezing, hay fever and other types of allergies. It is also used to treat allergic reaction arises due to blood infusion.
