Taking Okacet Cold Total with food is safe.
Interaction between Alcohol and Okacet Cold Total
Taking alcohol with Okacet Cold Total can be dangerous.
An overdose occurs when more than the required amount (toxic levels) of [medicine] is taken. Initial symptoms of Okacet Cold Total overdose includes loss of appetite, drowsiness, seizures, abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting. Later progressive symptoms may include pain in your upper stomach, dark colored urine, yellowing of your skin or the white patches in your eyes, liver damage and in rare cases, it can also lead to coma. So, by any chance, if you have accidentally taken more than the required dose of Okacet Cold Total inform your doctor immediately.
As we know Okacet Cold Total is most widely used 'over-the-counter' analgesic/antipyretic medicine. However, paracetamol overdose can cause serious adverse effects on the liver, it may be fatal. But fortunately, there is an antidote, N-acetylcysteine (NAC) given within 8 hours of Okacet Cold Total ingestion which usually can prevent all serious side effects of Okacet Cold Total poisoning. However, do not take NAC without consulting a doctor as your doctor will tell you the right way and methods to help you relieve from this drug poisoning.
Okacet Cold Total is primarily not used to treat a common cold and sore throat. It can only relieve cold-related symptoms such as a fever, headache, earache, and aching joints. It doesn't help in relieving cough or stuffy nose.
No harmful interactions have been reported between Okacet Cold Total and codeine. Do not take it until and unless prescribed. However, if you are experiencing any unpleasant medicinal side effects such as nausea, stomach pain, and tremors after taking Okacet Cold Total. Inform your doctor immediately.
Yes, Okacet Cold Total can be taken safely with a less sedative antihistaminic drug like cetirizine and loratadine etc. No harmful effects are reported. However, another group of antihistamine drug which causes drowsiness and sleepiness like chlorpheniramine, diphenhydramine etc. should not be taken together unless and until recommended by your doctor.
