Oaxime rarely shows harmful effects in in pregnant ladies. Even if it does, the effects are mild
Is the use of Oaxime safe during breastfeeding?
Breastfeeding women may feel side effects of Oaxime. If you see any side effects, stop taking Oaxime immediately and talk to your doctor. Take Oaxime again, only after your doctor's advice.
What is the effect of Oaxime on the Kidneys?
Kidney can be affected by Oaxime. If you experience any unwanted effects of this drug, stop taking it. You should take it again only after medical advice.
What is the effect of Oaxime on the Liver?

Interaction between Food and Oaxime
Taking Oaxime with food does not cause any problems.
Interaction between Alcohol and Oaxime
It is difficult to say anything about the effect of Oaxime and alcohol. No research has been done on this yet.
Rarely Oaxime can cause neurotoxicity. It is a reversible side effect of this drug, the symptoms caused due to drug-induced neurotoxicity often disappear after this drug is stopped. However, if you experience convulsions, agitation, weakness and severe nausea do not hesitate to inform your doctor without any further delay.
Occasionally, Oaxime can cause drug-induced hemolytic anemia (abnormal Red blood cell breakdown). However, if your blood reports are showing abnormal hemolytic anemia after taking this drug please discuss with your doctor.
Occasionally, Oaxime can cause drug-induced thrombocytopenia (blood clot formation in a vessel). However, if you experience severe thrombocytopenia after taking this medicine, please immediately seek medical help.
Oaxime does not help in preventing cold, because common cold is a viral infection. However, the drug can help in bringing relief from symptoms of cold, if it is associated with a bacterial infection. To treat cold take ample rest, maintain proper hygiene, gargle with saline water and seek medical advice if common cold symptoms persist for more than 7-8 days.
Oaxime should be ideally taken with food(a light meal). Take this medicine in the required quantity and duration as prescribed by your doctor. Discontinuing the medicine in between may promote bacterial resistance which results in a relapse of the infection. You are recommended to complete the 7 - 14 days course even after getting symptomatic relief. Incase you feel any discomfort such as breathing difficulties and skin reactions while taking this medicine please inform your doctor immediately.
