Interaction between Alcohol and Lyrab

No, Lyrab doesn't cause high blood pressure. High blood pressure can be managed by losing some amount of weight, doing some kind of physical activity on a daily basis, eating a healthy diet, reducing sodium in the diet, limiting the amount of alcohol and caffeine, quitting smoking, and taking less stress. If your blood pressure doesn't get controlled, your doctor might start you on a hypertensive drug ( amlodipine, telmisartan etc). Please follow the instructions of your doctor completely.
Rarely Lyrab causes stomach cancer. There has been no direct relationship to establish the fact. However, stomach cancer and other cancers may develop because of recurring acid reflux for a long time for example 7 - 8 years or more. If you feel any symptoms associated with cancer such as consistent low-grade fever, weight loss due to unexplained reasons, and pain in the abdomen, do not hesitate to get it diagnosed by a physician.
Lyrab may cause allergy in rare instances. An allergic reaction might lead to swelling of the face, development of a rash, throat tightness and difficulty in breathing. If you develop any of these symptoms, talk to your doctor immediately. He may stop Lyrab for a while and examine you properly.
No, Lyrab does not cause kidney damage at recommended doses. However, in case of long-term use of Lyrab along with improper kidney function, might cause kidney damage. If you experience discoloration of urine ( symptoms of kidney damage) then immediately inform to doctor and follow his/her instructions.
Rarely, Lyrab causes hair loss. This is a reversible side effect of Lyrab, the problem goes away after discontinuation of this drug. For partial hair loss, you are advised to use hair tonic and discuss with your doctor about a better treatment option for hair loss.
