No, LX does not treat scabies which is a contagious skin infestation caused by the mite (Sarcoptes scabiei). It is not recommended for the treatment of scabies because LX is not a scabicidal agent.
Yes, LX might be used to treat sinusitis (Inflammation of cavities situated around the nasal passages) caused by bacteria (Streptococcus pneumoniae or Haemophilus influenzae). However, because of its poor activity against these bacteria LX is not recommended usually for the treatment of sinus infection (sinusitis).
Yes, LX can be taken with paracetamol. No clinically significant drug interaction has been reported between them. However, if you feel any discomfort after taking this drug along with paracetamol then do not hesitate to inform your doctor.
No, LX does not cover the strains related to Pseudomonas species. They are generally found to be resistant to LX. Hence, it is not recommended to use this drug for the treatment of the infection caused by Pseudomonas species.
