Interaction between Food and Efibact

Interaction between Alcohol and Efibact
No research has been done on this till date. Therefore, it is not known what the effect of taking Efibact with alcohol will be.
Yes, Efibact can cause diarrhea by disturbing bacterial flora of gut. It is a common side effect of this drug. However, if you are experiencing severe diarrhea after consuming this medicine inform the doctor immediately and check if you can discontinue the medicine. Try keeping yourself hydrated, drink plenty of fluids and take ample rest.
Avoid taking Efibact with azithromycin, because it can cause heart-related problems. However, if you are experiencing any discomfort after consuming these two medicines at the same time then do not hesitate to inform your doctor.
Efibact works by inhibiting the growth of bacterial cell wall which is essential for the growth of bacteria. Hence, in this way, it prevents us from bacterial infection.
Discontinuing Efibact in between may promote resistance to bacteria which may result in a relapse of the infection. You are recommended to complete the 7 - 14 days course even after getting symptomatic relief.
