Cofsol is a prescription drug, available for use as Syrup. Bronchitis, Sore Throat, Bad Breath are some of its major therapeutic uses. Secondary and off-label uses of Cofsol have also been mentioned below.
The optimal dosage of Cofsol is largely dependent on the individual's body weight, medical history, gender and age. Besides the medical condition it is advised for, the route of administration also plays an important role in determining the correct drug dosage. The most common side effects of Cofsol are Constipation, Heartburn, Nausea or vomiting. Apart from the aforementioned side effects, Cofsol can also lead to other problems, which have been listed below. Usually, these side effects of Cofsol go away soon, and do not persist beyond the duration of the treatment. Consult your doctor if these side effects become worse or stay for a longer duration.
In addition, Cofsol's effect is Moderate during pregnancy and Moderate for lactating mothers. It is important to know if Cofsol has any effect on the kidney, liver and heart. Information on such adverse effects, if any, has been given in the Cofsol related warnings section.

Women who are breastfeeding can experience some moderate side effects of Cofsol. Immediately discontinue Cofsol if you observe any side effects. Contact your doctor, and restart using it only if your doctor considers it safe for you.

Cofsol is not harmful for kidneys.

Cofsol does not damage the liver.
