Occasionally, Ceforiz can cause drug-induced hemolytic anemia (abnormal Red blood cell breakdown). However, if your blood reports are showing abnormal hemolytic anemia after taking this drug please discuss with your doctor.
Discontinuing Ceforiz in between may promote resistance to bacteria which may result in a relapse of the infection. You are recommended to complete the 7 - 14 days course even after getting symptomatic relief.
