Cefi is a prescription medicine that is available as a Tablet, Syrup. It is primarily used for the treatment of Ear Infection, Tonsillitis, Bronchitis. Cefi also has some secondary and off-label uses. These are listed below.

Yes, Cefi is safe to use, if taken prescribed quantity for the prescribed duration as directed by a doctor. However, few known side effects are observed such as stomach upset, nausea. vomiting, and bleeding. If you are experiencing any of the above-mentioned side effects inform your doctor immediately.
Yes Cefi is used to treat typhoid fever. It is second-line treatment for typhoid fever. If other antibiotics are resistant to salmonella typhi then this drug is found to be very effective to give symptomatic relief during typhoid.
Discontinuing Cefi in between may promote resistant to bacteria which result in relapse of infection. You are recommended to complete the 7 - 14 days course even after getting symptomatic relief. In case you feel any discomfort such as breathing difficulties and skin reactions while taking this medicine please inform your doctor immediately.
