Bilefix is taken orally, usually 2 to 3 times for managing the gallstones and twice for preventing the formation of gallstones in people who lose weight quickly. Bilefix should be taken strictly as prescribed by your doctor.
Bilefix belongs to the class of compounds called bile acids and salts. Ursodiol is a bile acid which is used for the management of gallstones and primary liver diseases. It also prevents the formation of gallstones in people who are rapidly losing weight.
Yes Bilefix and its components have been found to be hypersensitive in some people taking it. In case you experience rashes in the skin, breathing difficulties, swelling in the face or any discomfort report it instantly to the doctor who has prescribed this drug to you.
Your doctor will assess your condition after a course of Bilefix for example 2-3 months. Depending upon the size and number of gallstones you doctor will take a decision whether gallbladder should be removed or not. Bilefix is usually not associated with lower abdomen pain.
