Azire is a prescription drug, available for use as Tablet. It is primarily used for the treatment of Ear Infection, Tonsillitis, Pneumonia. The alternative uses of Azire have also been explained below.

Azire is a macrolide antibiotic, it works by inhibiting the bacterial protein synthesis which is necessary for bacteria to perform vital activities Thus, it stops the growth of bacteria in our body and prevents the infections. Its effects may be bacteriostatic or bactericidal depending on the drug concentration.
Yes, you can take Azire for a sore throat, if it is caused by bacteria. It's very difficult to distinguish between a sore throat caused due to a viral or bacterial infection. Hence take it only when a doctor has prescribed it to you.
Yes, Azire can be taken with a proton pump inhibitor. No harmful drug interaction has been reported between them. However, if you experience any unwanted effects after taking medicine, inform your doctor.
Azire is not given for the abscess. It is not recommended for skin and soft tissue infection. Generally, a combination of Amoxicillin and Clavulanate is given twice daily. However. it is best to consult your doctor for the right line of treatment for an abscess.
Azire is used to treat a number of bacterial infections, such as respiratory tract infection, sexually transmitted disease (STD), pneumonia, bronchitis, ear infection, Lyme disease, Mycobacterium Avium Bacteria Infection, whooping cough, sinuses, skin, throat, and infections of the lungs.
