Azimist is a commercial drug that is prescribed in the form of Tablet. Primarily, it is used for the treatment of Ear Infection, Tonsillitis, Pneumonia. Other than this, Azimist has some other therapeutic uses, which have been discussed ahead.

Interaction between Alcohol and Azimist
No research has been done on this till date. Therefore, it is not known what the effect of taking Azimist with alcohol will be.
No, Azimist is not used for treating cough generally. However, if the doctor is convinced that the cough is due to a bacterial infection, he may prescribe {Medicine] to you.
Take Azimist exactly as prescribed by your doctor, do not exceed dosage. Food does not affect the absorption of azithromycin, one can take it with or without foods but to avoid stomach disturbances take it with a light meal. Complete the entire course of medicine.
Discontinuing Azimist on your own can increase the chances of bacterial resistance and may cause a relapse of the infection. It is recommended that you always consult your doctor before discounting this drug.
Azimist is not given for the abscess. It is not recommended for skin and soft tissue infection. Generally, a combination of Amoxicillin and Clavulanate is given twice daily. However. it is best to consult your doctor for the right line of treatment for an abscess.
