Interaction between Alcohol and Anglocet Plus
Taking Anglocet Plus with alcohol can have severely harmful effects on your health.
No harmful interactions have been reported between Anglocet Plus and codeine. Do not take it until and unless prescribed. However, if you are experiencing any unpleasant medicinal side effects such as nausea, stomach pain, and tremors after taking Anglocet Plus. Inform your doctor immediately.
Although it's believed that Anglocet Plus works mainly in the central nervous system (Brain and Spine). It prevents the release of prostaglandin, which is responsible for increasing pain and body temperature. It effectively reduces the intensity of pain signals to the brain.
Yes, Anglocet Plus can be taken safely with a less sedative antihistaminic drug like cetirizine and loratadine etc. No harmful effects are reported. However, another group of antihistamine drug which causes drowsiness and sleepiness like chlorpheniramine, diphenhydramine etc. should not be taken together unless and until recommended by your doctor.
As we know Anglocet Plus is most widely used 'over-the-counter' analgesic/antipyretic medicine. However, paracetamol overdose can cause serious adverse effects on the liver, it may be fatal. But fortunately, there is an antidote, N-acetylcysteine (NAC) given within 8 hours of Anglocet Plus ingestion which usually can prevent all serious side effects of Anglocet Plus poisoning. However, do not take NAC without consulting a doctor as your doctor will tell you the right way and methods to help you relieve from this drug poisoning.
Anglocet Plus is primarily not used to treat a common cold and sore throat. It can only relieve cold-related symptoms such as a fever, headache, earache, and aching joints. It doesn't help in relieving cough or stuffy nose.
