No, Angicam Beta does not cause diabetes. It has not been reported to cause diabetes. However, Angicam Beta might increase your blood sugar levels slightly, healthy people can tolerate it easily while diabetic patients might face some spike in blood sugar levels. So, if you have diabetes keep a check on your blood sugar levels and in case of a sudden spike inform your doctor and take medicines accordingly.
Angicam Beta is calcium channel blocker. It works by inhibiting the movement of calcium into vascular smooth muscle cells and cardiac cells which inhibits the contraction of cardiac muscle and vascular smooth muscle and reduce electrical conduction within heart cell and dilate blood vessel. Dilation of the blood vessel reduces the blood pressure.
Angicam Beta comes in form of a tablet and ideally, it should be taken by mouth once daily as advised by your doctor. It can be taken with food or without food at any time of the day. Precautions must be taken in patients with liver disease, diabetes, and hypothyroidism.
