Alfi, a prescription drug, is manufactured in various forms such as Tablet, Syrup. It is typically used for the treatment of Ear Infection, Tonsillitis, Bronchitis. Alfi also has some secondary and off-label uses. These are listed below.
The optimal dosage of Alfi is largely dependent on the individual's body weight, medical history, gender and age. Dosage also depends on the route of administration and your chief complaint for which the drug is prescribed. For detailed information on this, read through the dosage section.

Interaction between Food and Alfi

Interaction between Alcohol and Alfi
No research has been done on this till date. Therefore, it is not known what the effect of taking Alfi with alcohol will be.
Alfi is a prescription drug so do not take it without consulting doctor. It can be harmful for people to take this medicine without a doctor's advice.
Alfi works by inhibiting the growth of bacterial cell wall which is essential for the growth of bacteria. Hence, in this way, it prevents us from bacterial infection.
Yes, Alfi can be taken with paracetamol, no clinically significant interactions are seen between these two. However, it doesn't mean that no interaction exists between them. Please talk to your doctor before consuming these two medicines at the same time.
Discontinuing Alfi in between may promote resistant to bacteria which result in relapse of infection. You are recommended to complete the 7 - 14 days course even after getting symptomatic relief. In case you feel any discomfort such as breathing difficulties and skin reactions while taking this medicine please inform your doctor immediately.
Alfi and amoxicillin can be taken together, as there are no reported harmful interactions between them. It gives synergistic effects after taking these two medicines together. Please take if prescribed by a doctor.
