Metoclopramide Tablet is a prescription medicine. Primarily, it is used for the treatment of Nausea and Vomiting. Secondary and off-label uses of Metoclopramide Tablet have also been mentioned below.

Metoclopramide contains metoclopramide which is an antiemetic agent that prevents from nausea and vomiting by inhibiting certain chemical messengers (neurotransmitters such as dopamine and serotonin) in the brain. In diabetic gastroparesis, Metoclopramide works by increasing gastrointestinal motility and fasting the gastric emptying process. In gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), Metoclopramide works by increasing lower esophageal sphincter (LES) tone which prevents the gastric contents to reach food pipe that causes symptoms associated with GERD.
